I will exhibit my new work ‘Of Flowers’, as a part of curated group exhibition KYOTO STEAM 2022, which aims to collaborate artists and cooperations/research institutes in order to create interdisciplinary art works between art and science technology. By exploring how the nature, this time flowers, is archived through the process of reproduction and questioning about what’s actually captured through the technologies and what’s lost during the transition, I attempt to represent these indexical and symbolic traces in different manners, reconsidering relationship human with science technology and the nature: what aspects of flower are we actually encountering.
Dialogue on Sony’s exhibition ONE DAY, 2022/2050 Sci-Fi Prototyping, as a celebration of 60th of its design department, I have discussed on their speculative design project with Akimasa Mitsushima (Sony Creative Centre : Designer).
